Your Questions, Answered
Our Build Philosophy & Sourcing
Q: What is the manufacturing philosophy behind Cross bikes?
A: We believe in premium, honest performance without the corporate premium. Developing unique carbon fiber molds costs millions, a tax major brands force riders to pay. We bypass this by partnering directly with elite overseas factories to source structurally proven, high-performance open-mold frames (like our Carbonda and Tideace partner platforms). We redirect those massive savings straight into curated, lightweight components, precision local assembly, and custom paint finishes.
Q: Where are Cross bikes assembled and tested?
A: Every single bike is built entirely to order right here in the North Carolina Triangle area. We manage strict material intake quality control, lay down custom finishes, and hand-assemble every pivot, bearing, and cable routing pathway from raw frameset to finished turnkey build.
The Product Lineup
Q: How do I choose between the different Cross models?
A: Our lineup is explicitly structured to conquer specific riding disciplines. Find the model that matches your local terrain:
The Summit (Downcountry Series): Built on an ultra-lightweight carbon chassis, the Summit bridges the gap between cross-country climbing speed and trail capability. It features a highly efficient pedal platform designed to fly up hills while retaining enough suspension travel, dropper routing, and tire clearance to aggressively handle rugged singletrack.
The Contour (Trail Series): Standardized on the progressive Carbonda CFM-1001 carbon chassis, the Contour is our dedicated, aggressive trail machine. Configured with a plush 135mm rear travel profile and a 140mm front fork, it features a modern 65.5° slack head tube angle to confidently tackle high-speed technical descents and rock gardens.
The Phosphate (Gravel Series): Our high-performance gravel line utilizes premium Tideace carbon frames equipped with integrated internal frame storage. The Phosphate is optimized for long-distance gravel grinds, fire road speed, and adventure versatility, and it is available in dedicated drop bar configurations.
The Iso (Hardtail Series): Built to deliver raw, lightweight, and responsive singletrack performance. The Isoline hardtail series keeps maintenance low and power transfer absolute—ideal for fast rolling cross-country singletrack and purist trail riders.
Sizing, Logistics, & Warranty
Q: What frame sizes do you offer?
A: Our configurations primarily scale across Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large (S–XL) geometries. Because modern progressive geometry features steep seat tube boxes and longer reach footprints, our frames match modern sizing trends perfectly. Most configurations are built around a highly agile medium-sized frame footprint as our standard design baseline.
Q: Do you offer custom paint and finish adjustments?
A: Yes! Because we source frames in raw matte form, for an additional fee, we offer custom factory spraying capabilities. We can work with you to execute unique colorways—ranging from raw visible carbon layouts to premium chameleons and color-shifts—to ensure your bike is truly one of a kind before assembly begins. Q: How are bikes delivered, and what is your warranty policy?
A: For local riders in the Raleigh, Durham, and Hillsborough Triangle region, we offer direct delivery and local pickup options. Every complete turnkey bike includes a comprehensive structural frame warranty. By purchasing from us instead of importing a frame yourself, we act as your local liability and logistics buffer, handling all factory communication and replacement support directly.
